Garbin Home Hygiene business was launched in Chennai in 1996 by Ms. Mary Ahila, an environmentalist and nature lover, as part of her passion to create healthy households through proper sanitation and hygiene. The company launched and promoted the sorting and disposal of garbage through the use of garbage disposal bags and bio-degradable garbage disposal bags under the brand name 'Garbin Sack®' after she saw the incredible amount of waste being produced, and by the lack of a hygienic, environmentally responsible way to dispose it. Over the years, Garbin Sack® has become a trusted, household name in environmentally conscious households, institutions, residential societies, hotels, and offices.
